Perversion of the Gospel

6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting 5Him who called you bby the grace of Christ, for a 6different gospel ; 7 which is really not another ; only there are some who are 7disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or 8an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel ccontrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be d9accursed ! 9 As we 10have said before, so I say again now, 11if any man is preaching to you a gospel econtrary to what you received, he is to be f12accursed ! 10 For am I now 13seeking the favor of men, or of God ? Or am I striving to please men ? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a 14bond-servant of Christ.

Paul Defends His Ministry

11 For 15I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is 16not according to man. 12 For 17I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a 18revelation of Jesus Christ. 13 For you have heard of 19my former manner of life in Judaism, how I 20used to persecute 21the church of God beyond measure and 22tried to destroy it; 14 and I 23was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my gcountrymen, being more extremely zealous for my 24ancestral traditions.
