Now Abrahamtookanotherwife, awhose name was Keturah.
21She bore to him Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah.
3Jokshanbbecame the father of Sheba and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim and Letushim and Leummim.

The sons of Midian were Ephah and Epher and Hanoch and Abida and Eldaah. Allthese were the sons of Keturah.
52Now Abrahamgaveall that he had to Isaac ;

but to the sons of chis concubines, Abrahamgavegifts while he was stillliving, and 3sent them away from his sonIsaaceastward, to the land of the east.
7These are dall the years of Abraham'slife that he lived, 4one hundred and seventy-fiveyears.
8Abrahambreathed his last and died5in a eripeoldage, an oldman and satisfied with life; and he was 6gathered to his people.

Then his sonsIsaac and Ishmaelburied him in 7the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, facingMamre,
108the fieldwhichAbrahampurchased from the sons of Heth ; thereAbraham was buried with Sarah his wife.

It came about after the death of Abraham, that 9Godblessed his sonIsaac ; and Isaacflived by 10Beer-lahai-roi.

Now these are the records of the generations of 11Ishmael, Abraham'sson, whomHagar the Egyptian, Sarah'smaid, bore to Abraham ;

and these are the names of 12the sons of Ishmael, by their names, gin the order of their birth : Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael, and Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsam14
and Mishma and Dumah and Massa,
15Hadad and Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah.
16These are the sons of Ishmael and these are their names, by their villages, and by their camps ; 13twelveprinces according to their htribes.
17These are the years of the life of Ishmael, 14one hundred and thirty-sevenyears ; and he breathed his last and died, and was 15gathered to his people.

They isettled from 16Havilah to 17Shurwhich is jeast of Egyptkas one goes toward Assyria ; 18he lsettled in defiance of all his mrelatives.

Now these are the records of 19the generations of Isaac, Abraham'sson : Abrahamnbecame the father of Isaac ;

and Isaac was fortyyearsold when he took20Rebekah, the 21daughter of Bethuel the oAramean of Paddan-aram, the 22sister of Laban the pAramean, to be his wife.
21Isaacprayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren ; and 23the LORDqanswered him and Rebekah his wife24conceived.

But the childrenstruggled together within her; and she said, "If it is so, why then am I this way?" So she went to 25inquire of the LORD.

The LORDsaid to her, "26Twonations are in your womb ; 27And twopeoples will be separated from your body ; And one people shall be strongerthan the other ; And 28the older shall serve the younger."

When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

Now the firstcameforthred, 29all over like a hairygarment ; and they named him Esau.
26Afterward his brothercameforth with 30his handholding on to Esau'sheel, so 31his name was calledrJacob ; and Isaac was 32sixtyyearsold when she gavebirth to them.

When the boysgrew up, Esaubecame a skillfulhunter, a man of the field, but Jacob was a speacefulman, t33living in tents.

Now IsaaclovedEsau, becauseuhe had 34a taste for game, 35but RebekahlovedJacob.

When Jacob had cooked36stew, Esaucame in from the field and he was vfamished ;

and Esausaid to Jacob, "Please let me have a swallow of wthat redstuff there, for I am xfamished." Therefore his name was calledyEdom.

But Jacobsaid, "zFirstsell me your 37birthright."
32Esausaid, "Behold, I amabout to die ; so of what use then is the birthright to me?"

And Jacobsaid, "aaFirstswear to me"; so he swore to him, and 38sold his birthright to Jacob.

Then JacobgaveEsaubread and lentilstew ; and he ate and drank, and rose and went on his way. Thus Esaudespised his birthright.
