Then 1GodrememberedRachel, and Godgaveheed to her and 2opened her womb.
So she conceived and bore a son and said, "God has 3takenaway my reproach."
She named him Joseph, saying, "4May the LORDagive me anotherson."
Now it came about whenRachel had borneJoseph, that Jacobsaid to Laban, "5Send me away, that I may go to my own place and to my own country.
26"Give me my wives and my children6for whom I have served you, and let me depart; for you yourselfknow my servicewhich I have brendered you."
But Labansaid to him, "Ifnowcit pleases you, stay with me; I have divined7that the LORD has blessed me on your account."
He dcontinued, "8Name me your wages, and I will give it."
But he said to him, "9You yourselfknowhow I have served you and how your cattle have efared with me.
"For you hadlittlebeforefI came and it has gincreased to a multitude, and the LORD has blessed you hwherever I turned. But now, when shall I provide for my own householdalso?"
So he said, "What shall I give you?" And Jacobsaid, "You shall not give me anything. If you will dothis one thing for me, I will againpasture and keep your flock:
let me pass through your entireflocktoday, removing from thereevery10speckled and spottedsheep and everyblackione among the lambs and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and such shall be my wages.
