Now when his masterheard the words of his wife, which she spoke to him, saying, "bThis is what your slavedid to me," 1his angerburned.
So Joseph'smastertook him and 2put him into the jail , the placewhere the king'sprisoners were confined; and he was there in the jail .
But 3the LORD was with Joseph and extendedkindness to him, and 4gave him favor in the sight of the chiefjailer .
The chiefjailer5committed to Joseph'scchargeall the prisonerswho were in the jail ; so that whatever was donethere, he was dresponsible for it.
236The chiefjailer did not superviseanything under eJoseph's chargebecause7the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, 8the LORD made to prosper.
