But we do see Him who was 3madeafor a littlewhilelowerthan the angels, namely, Jesus, 4because of the suffering of death5crowned with glory and honor, so that 6by the grace of God He might 7tastedeath8for everyone.
For 9it was fitting for Him, 10for whom are allthings, and throughwhom are allthings, in bringingmanysons to glory, to 11perfect the b12author of their salvationthroughsufferings.
For both He who 13sanctifies and those who 14are csanctified are all15from one Father; for whichreason He is not ashamed to call them 16brethren,
12saying, "17I WILL PROCLAIM YOUR NAME TO MY BRETHREN, IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE."
And again, "18I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM." And again, "19BEHOLD, I AND THE CHILDRENWHOMGOD HAS GIVEN ME."
14Therefore, since the childrenshare in d20flesh and blood, 21He Himselflikewisealsopartook of the same, that 22throughdeath He might renderpowerless23him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
and might free those who through 24fear of death were subject to slaveryall their lives.
For assuredly He does not egivehelp to angels, but He giveshelp to the fdescendant of Abraham.
17Therefore, He ghad25to be madelike His brethren in allthings, so that He might 26become a merciful and faithful27highpriest in 28things pertaining to God, to 29makepropitiation for the sins of the people.
For since He Himself was 30tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
