But we do see Him who was 1madeafor a littlewhilelowerthan the angels, namely, Jesus, 2because of the suffering of death3crowned with glory and honor, so that 4by the grace of God He might 5tastedeath6for everyone.

For 7it was fitting for Him, 8for whom are allthings, and throughwhom are allthings, in bringingmanysons to glory, to 9perfect the b10author of their salvationthroughsufferings.

For both He who 11sanctifies and those who 12are csanctified are all13from one Father; for whichreason He is not ashamed to call them 14brethren,
12saying, "15I WILL PROCLAIM YOUR NAME TO MY BRETHREN, IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE."

And again, "16I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM." And again, "17BEHOLD, I AND THE CHILDRENWHOMGOD HAS GIVEN ME."
14Therefore, since the childrenshare in d18flesh and blood, 19He Himselflikewisealsopartook of the same, that 20throughdeath He might renderpowerless21him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

and might free those who through 22fear of death were subject to slaveryall their lives.

For assuredly He does not egivehelp to angels, but He giveshelp to the fdescendant of Abraham.
17Therefore, He ghad23to be madelike His brethren in allthings, so that He might 24become a merciful and faithful25highpriest in 26things pertaining to God, to 27makepropitiation for the sins of the people.

For since He Himself was 28tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
