12"Listen to Me, O Jacob, even Israelawhom I called; 1I am He, 2I am the first, I am also the last.
13"Surely My hand3founded the earth, And My righthandspread out the heavens; When I 4call to them, they standtogether.
"5Assemble, all of you, and listen! 6Who among them has declaredthesethings? The LORDloves him; he will 7carry out His goodpleasure on 8Babylon, And His arm will be against the Chaldeans.
"I, even I, have spoken; indeed I have 9called him, I have brought him, and He will make his wayssuccessful.

17Thussays the LORD, your 14Redeemer, the HolyOne of Israel, "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, Who 15leads you in the way you should go.
18"Ifonly you had 16paidattention to My commandments! Then your c17well-being would have been like a river, And your 18righteousness like the waves of the sea.
"Your d19descendants would have been like the sand, And eyour offspring like its grains; 20Their name would never be cutoff or destroyed from My presence."
2021Goforth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! Declare with the sound of 22joyfulshouting, proclaimthis, 23Send it out to the end of the earth; Say, "24The LORD has redeemed His servantJacob."
They did not 25thirst when He led them through the deserts. He 26made the waterflow out of the rock for them; He split the rock and 27the watergushed forth.
