"For your gods are a1as many as your cities, O Judah ; and bas many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to the 2shamefulthing, altars to 3burnincense to Baal.

"Therefore 4do not pray for thispeople, norlift up a cry or prayer for them; for I will 5not listenwhen they call to Me because of their disaster.
15"What right has My 6beloved in My houseWhen7she has donemanyviledeeds ? Can the sacrificialfleshtakeaway from you your disaster, cSo that you can rejoice ?"

The LORDcalled your name, "A 8greenolivetree, beautiful in fruit and form "; With the 9noise of a greattumult He has 10kindledfire on it, And its branches are worthless.

The LORD of hosts, who 11planted you, has 12pronouncedevilagainst you because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have ddone to provoke Me by e13offering up sacrifices to Baal.

Moreover, the LORD14made it known to me and I knew it; Then You showed me their deeds.

But I was like a gentle15lambled to the slaughter ; And I did not know that they had 16devisedplotsagainst me, saying, "Let us destroy the tree with its ffruit, And 17let us cut him off from the 18land of the living, That his 19name be rememberednomore."

But, O LORD of hosts, who 20judgesrighteously, Who 21tries the gfeelings and the heart, Let me see Your vengeance on them, For to You have I hcommitted my cause.
21Thereforethussays the LORDconcerning the men of 22Anathoth, who 23seek your life, saying, "24Do not prophesy in the name of the LORD, so that you will not 25die at our hand ";
22therefore, thussays the LORD of hosts, "Behold, I am about to 26punish them! The 27youngmen will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine ;

and a remnant28will not be left to them, for I will 29bringdisaster on the men of Anathoth -30the year of their punishment."
