Moreover, the LORD1made it known to me and I knew it; Then You showed me their deeds.
But I was like a gentle2lambled to the slaughter; And I did not know that they had 3devisedplotsagainst me, saying, "Let us destroy the tree with its afruit, And 4let us cut him off from the 5land of the living, That his 6name be rememberednomore."
But, O LORD of hosts, who 7judgesrighteously, Who 8tries the bfeelings and the heart, Let me see Your vengeance on them, For to You have I ccommitted my cause.
21Thereforethussays the LORDconcerning the men of 9Anathoth, who 10seek your life, saying, "11Do not prophesy in the name of the LORD, so that you will not 12die at our hand ";
22therefore, thussays the LORD of hosts, "Behold, I am about to 13punish them! The 14youngmen will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine;
and a remnant15will not be left to them, for I will 16bringdisaster on the men of Anathoth -17the year of their punishment."
