John 1:10-20 (New American Standard)

View In My Bible
10 He was in the world, and 1the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His aown, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become 2children of God, even 3to those who believe in His name, 13 4who were bborn, not of cblood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Word Made Flesh

14 And 5the Word 6became flesh, and d7dwelt among us, and 8we saw His glory, glory as of ethe only begotten from the Father, full of 9grace and 10truth. 15 John 11testified about Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, '12He who comes after me fhas a higher rank than I, 13for He existed before me.' " 16 For of His 14fullness gwe have all received, and hgrace upon grace. 17 For 15the Law was given through Moses ; 16grace and 17truth iwere realized through Jesus Christ. 18 18No one has seen God at any time ; 19the only begotten God who is 20in the bosom of the Father, 21He has explained Him.

The Testimony of John

19 This is 22the testimony of John, when 23the Jews sent to him priests and Levites 24from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you?" 20 And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed, "25I am not jthe Christ."
