14 And ¹the Word ²became flesh, and ^a³dwelt among us, and ⁴we saw His glory, glory as of ^bthe only begotten from the Father, full of ⁵grace and ⁶truth. 15 John ⁷testified about Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, '⁸He who comes after me ^chas a higher rank than I, ⁹for He existed before me.' " 16 For of His ¹⁰fullness ^dwe have all received, and ^egrace upon grace. 17 For ¹¹the Law was given through Moses ; ¹²grace and ¹³truth ^fwere realized through Jesus Christ. 18 ¹⁴No one has seen God at any time ; ¹⁵the only begotten God who is ¹⁶in the bosom of the Father, ¹⁷He has explained Him.
