So the discipleswentawayagain1to their ownhomes.

2But Mary was standingoutside the tombweeping; and so, as she wept, she 3stooped and looked into the tomb;

and she saw4twoangels in whitesitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.

And they said to her, "5Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because6they have takenaway my Lord, and I do not knowwhere they have laid Him."

When she had saidthis, she turnedaround and 7sawJesusstanding there, and 8did not know that it was Jesus.

Jesussaid to her, "9Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?"Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him, "Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away."

Jesussaid to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him 10in Hebrew, "11Rabboni!" (whichmeans, Teacher ).

Jesussaid to her, "Stopclinging to Me, for I have not yetascended to the Father; but go to 12My brethren and say to them, 'I 13ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.' "

14MaryMagdalenecame, 15announcing to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and that He had saidthesethings to her.
Jesus among His Disciples
19So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shutwhere the disciples were, for 16fear of the Jews, Jesuscame and stood in their midst and said to them, "17Peace be with you."

And when He had saidthis, 18He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciplesthen19rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
