But when it was now the midst of the feastJesuswent up into the temple, and began to 1teach.

2The Jewsthen were astonished, saying, "How has thisman3becomelearned, having never been educated?"

SoJesusanswered them and said, "4My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.

"5Ifanyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of Godor whether I speak from Myself.

"He who speaks from himself6seeks his ownglory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is nounrighteousness in Him.

"7Did not Mosesgive you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why do you 8seek to kill Me?"

The crowdanswered, "9You have a demon! Whoseeks to kill You?"

Jesusanswered them, "I did10onedeed, and you allmarvel.

"For thisreason11Moses has given you circumcision (not because it is from Moses, but from 12the fathers ), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man.

"13If a manreceivescircumcision on the Sabbathso that the Law of Moses will not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made an entiremanwell on the Sabbath?

"Do not 14judgeaccording to appearance, but judge with righteousjudgment."
