Having saidthesethings to them, He stayed in Galilee.
But when His 1brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himselfalsowent up, not publicly, but as if, in secret.
112So the Jews3were seeking Him at the feast and were saying, "Where is He?"
There was muchgrumblingamong the crowdsconcerning Him; 4some were saying, "He is a goodman "; others were saying, "No, on the contrary, He leads the peopleastray."
13Yetnoone was speakingopenly of Him for 5fear of the Jews.
But when it was now the midst of the feastJesuswent up into the temple, and began to 6teach.
157The Jewsthen were astonished, saying, "How has thisman8becomelearned, having never been educated?"
16SoJesusanswered them and said, "9My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.17"10Ifanyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of Godor whether I speak from Myself.18"He who speaks from himself11seeks his ownglory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is nounrighteousness in Him.19"12Did not Mosesgive you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why do you 13seek to kill Me?"
