John 8:46-56

"Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If 1I speak truth, why * do you not believe Me?
"2He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God."
3The Jews answered and said to Him, "Do we not say rightly that You are a 4Samaritan and 5have a demon?"
Jesus answered, "I do not 6have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.
"But 7I do not seek My glory; there is One who seeks and judges.
"Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone 8keeps My word he will never * 9see death."
10The Jews said to Him, "Now we know that You 11have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets also; and You say, 'If anyone 12keeps My word, he will never * 13taste of death.'
"Surely You 14are not greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets died too; whom do You make Yourself out to be?"
Jesus answered, "15If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; 16it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, 'He is our God ';
and 17you have not come to know Him, 18but I know Him; and if I say that I do not know Him, I will be 19a liar like you, 20but I do know Him and 21keep His word.
"22Your father Abraham 23rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad."
