Jesusanswered, "I do not 6have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.

"But 7I do not seek My glory; there is One who seeks and judges.

"Truly, truly, I say to you, ifanyone8keeps My word he will never*9seedeath."

10The Jewssaid to Him, "Now we know that You 11have a demon. Abrahamdied, and the prophets also; and You say, 'Ifanyone12keeps My word, he will never*13taste of death.'

"Surely You 14are not greater than our fatherAbraham, whodied? The prophetsdiedtoo; whom do You makeYourself out to be?"

Jesusanswered, "15If I glorifyMyself, My glory is nothing; 16it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, 'He is our God ';

and 17you have not come to know Him, 18but I know Him; and if I say that I do not know Him, I will be 19a liarlike you, 20but I do know Him and 21keep His word.
