11Soonafterwards He went to a citycalledNain ; and His disciples were goingalong with Him, aaccompanied by a largecrowd.
12Now as He approached the gate of the city, ba dead man was being carried out, the conlyson of his mother, and she was a widow ; and a sizeablecrowd from the city was with her.

When 1the Lordsaw her, He feltcompassion for her, and said to her, "dDo not weep."14
And He came up and touched the coffin ; and the bearerscame to a halt. And He said, "Youngman, I say to you, arise !"15
The edeadmansat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother.
162Feargripped them all, and they began 3glorifyingGod, saying, "A great4prophet has arisenamong us!" and, "God has fvisited His people !"
