"You are those who have stood by Me in My 1trials;

and just as My Fatherhasgranted Me a 2kingdom, I grant you

that you may 3eat and drink at My table in My 4kingdom, and 5you will sit on thronesjudging the twelvetribes of Israel.

"Simon, Simon, behold, 6Satanhasdemanded permission to 7sift you likewheat;

but I 8have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, whenonce you have turnedagain, 9strengthen your brothers."

10But he said to Him, "Lord, with You I amready to goboth to prison and to death!"

And He said, "I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crowtodayuntil you have deniedthreetimes that you know Me."

And He said to them, "11When I sent you out withoutmoneybelt and bag and sandals, you did not lackanything, did you?" They said, "No, nothing."

And He said to them, "But now, whoeverhas a moneybelt is to take it along, likewisealso a bag, and whoeverhasnosword is to sell his coat and buy one.

"For I tell you that this which is writtenmust be fulfilled in Me, '12AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS '; for 13that which refers to Me has its fulfillment."

They said, "Lord, look, here are two14swords." And He said to them, "It is enough."
