They came and said to Him, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful and adefer to noone; for You are not partial to any, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it blawful to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?
"Shall we payor shall we not pay?" But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a cdenarius to look at."16
They brought one. And He said to them, "Whoselikeness and inscription is this?" And they said to Him, "Caesar's."
And Jesussaid to them, "1Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they dwere amazed at Him.
182Some Sadducees (whosay that there is noresurrection ) came to Jesus, and began questioning Him, saying,
19"Teacher, Moseswrote for us that 3IF A MAN'SBROTHERDIES and leavesbehind a wife AND LEAVESNOCHILD, HIS BROTHER SHOULD eMARRY THE WIFE AND RAISE UP CHILDREN TO HIS BROTHER.
"There were sevenbrothers; and the firsttook a wife, and diedleavingnochildren.
"The secondonefmarried her, and diedleavingbehindnochildren; and the thirdlikewise;
and so gallsevenleftnochildren. Last of all the womandiedalso.
"In the resurrection, hwhen they riseagain, whichone'swife will she be? For iallsevenhad married her."
24Jesussaid to them, "Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not junderstand the Scripturesor the power of God?
