11As He was going out of the temple, one of His disciplessaid to Him, "Teacher, beholdawhatwonderfulstones and bwhatwonderfulbuildings !"
2
And Jesussaid to him, "Do you seethesegreatbuildings ? 2Not one stone will be left upon anotherwhich will not be torndown."3
As He was sitting on 3the Mount of Olivesopposite the temple, 4Peter and cJames and John and Andrew were questioning Him privately ,
4"Tell us, when will thesethings be, and what will be the dsignwhenallthesethings are going to be fulfilled ?"
5
And Jesusbegan to say to them, "See to it that noonemisleads you.6"Many will come in My name, saying, '5I am He!' and will misleadmany.7"When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened ; those things musttakeplace ; but that is not yet the end.8"For nation will rise up againstnation, and kingdomagainstkingdom ; there will be earthquakes in variousplaces ; there will also be famines. Thesethings are merely the beginning of birthpangs.9"But ebe on your guard ; for they will 6deliver you to the fcourts, and you will be flogged7in the synagogues, and you will standbeforegovernors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them.10"8The gospelmustfirst be preached to all the nations.11"9When they garrest you and hand you over, do not worrybeforehand about what you are to say, but saywhatever is given you in that hour ; for it is not you who speak, but it is the HolySpirit.12"Brother will betraybrother to death, and a father his child ; and children will rise up againstparents and hhave them put to death.13"10You will be hated by allbecause of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.14"But 11when you see the 12ABOMINATION OF DESOLATIONstandingwhere it should not be (let the readerunderstand ), thenthosewho are in Judea must flee to the mountains.15"13The onewho is on the housetop must not godown, orgo in to getanything out of his house ;16and the onewho is in the field must not turnback to get his coat.17"But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursingbabies in thosedays !18"But pray that it may not happen in the winter.19"For thosedays will be a time of tribulationsuch as has not occurred14since the beginning of the creationwhichGodcreateduntilnow, and never will.20"Unless the Lord had shortened those days, noilife would have been saved ; but for the sake of the jelect, whom He chose, He shortened the days.21"And thenifanyonesays to you, 'Behold, here is kthe Christ '; or, 'Behold, He is there '; do not believe him;22for falseChrists and 15falseprophets will arise, and will showl16signs and 17wonders, in order to leadastray, ifpossible, the elect.23"But takeheed ; behold, I have told you everything in advance.
24"But in thosedays, after that tribulation, 18THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT,2519AND THE STARS WILL BE FALLING from heaven, and the powers that are in mthe heavens will be shaken.26"Then they will see20THE SON OF MAN21COMING IN CLOUDS with greatpower and glory.27"And then He will sendforth the angels, and 22will gathertogether His nelect from the fourwinds, 23from the farthestend of the earth to the farthestend of heaven.28"Nowlearn the parable from the figtree : when its branch has alreadybecometender and putsforth its leaves, you know that summer is near.29"Even so, you too, when you seethesethingshappening, orecognize that pHe is near, right at the qdoor.30"Truly I say to you, thisrgeneration will not passawayuntilallthesethingstakeplace.31"Heaven and earth will passaway, but My words will not passaway.32"24But of that dayorhournooneknows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.33"Takeheed, 25keep on the alert ; for you do not knowwhen the appointed timeswill come.
