And he got up and immediatelypicked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, so that they were allamazed and 1were glorifyingGod, saying, "2We have neverseen anything likethis."
And He went out again by the seashore; and 3all the apeople were coming to Him, and He was teaching them.
144As He passed by, He sawb5Levi the son of Alphaeussitting in the taxbooth, and He said to him, "6Follow Me!" And he got up and followed Him.
And it chappened that He was reclining at the table in his house, and manytaxcollectors and dsinnersewere dining with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many of them, and they were following Him.
When 7the scribes of the Phariseessaw that He was eating with the sinners and taxcollectors, they said to His disciples, "8Why is He eating and drinking with taxcollectors and fsinners?"
And hearing this, Jesussaid to them, "9It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."1810John'sdisciples and the Pharisees were fasting; and they came and said to Him, "Why do John'sdisciples and the disciples of the Phariseesfast, but Your disciples do not fast?"
And Jesussaid to them, "While the bridegroom is with them, gthe attendants of the bridegroomcannotfast, can they? Solong as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannotfast.20"But the 11days will comewhen the bridegroom is takenaway from them, and then they will fast in that day.21"Noonesewsha patch of unshrunkcloth on an oldgarment; otherwiseithe patchpullsaway from it, the new from the old, and a worsetearresults.22"Nooneputsnewwine into oldwineskins; otherwise the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins as well; but one puts newwine into freshwineskins."
