Their herdsmenranaway and reported it in the city and in the country. And the people came to seewhat it was that had happened.

They came to Jesus and observed the man who had been 1demon-possessedsittingdown, 2clothed and 3in his rightmind, the very man who had had the "4legion "; and they became frightened.

Those who had seen it described to them how it had happened to the 5demon-possessed man, and all about the swine.

And they began to 6implore Him to leave their region.

7As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been 8demon-possessed was imploring Him that he might accompany* Him.

And He did not let him, but He said to him, "9Gohome to your people and report to them whatgreatthings the Lord has done for you, and how He hadmercy on you."

And he wentaway and began to 10proclaim in 11DecapoliswhatgreatthingsJesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.

2112When Jesus had crossedoveragain in 13the boat to the otherside, a largecrowdgatheredaround Him; and so He stayed14by the seashore.

15One of 16the synagogueofficialsnamedJairuscame up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet

and implored Him earnestly, saying, "My littledaughter is at the point of death; please come and 17lay Your hands on her, so that she will getwell and live."

And He wentoff with him; and a largecrowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.
