301The 2apostlesgatheredtogether with Jesus ; and they reported to Him all that they had done and taught.

And He said to them, "Comeaway by yourselves to a secludedplace and rest a while." (For there were many people coming and going, and 3they did not evenhavetime to eat.)
324They wentaway in 5the boat to a secludedplace by themselves.

The people saw them going, and manyrecognized them and rantheretogether on foot from all the cities, and gotthereahead of them.

When Jesus wentaashore, He 6saw a largecrowd, and He feltcompassion for them because7they were likesheepwithout a shepherd ; and He began to teach them manythings.

When it was alreadyquitelate , His disciplescame to Him and said, "bThisplace is desolate and it is alreadyquitelate ;
36send them awayso that they may go into the surroundingcountryside and villages and buythemselvescsomething to eat."

But He answered them, "You give them something to eat !"8And they said to Him, "Shall we go and spendtwohundredd9denarii on bread and give them something to eat ?"

And He said to them, "Howmanyloaves do you have ? Golook !" And when they found out, they said, "Five, and twofish."

And He commanded them all to esitdown by groups on the greengrass.
40
They fsatdown in groups of hundreds and of fifties.
41
And He took the fiveloaves and the twofish, and looking up towardheaven, He 10blessed the food and broke the loaves and He kept giving them to the disciples to setbefore them; and He divided up the twofish among them all.
42
They allate and were satisfied,
43
and they picked up twelvefull11baskets of the brokenpieces, and also of the fish.
44
There were 12fivethousandmen who ate the loaves.
