1Sighingdeeply in His spirit, He said, "Why does thisgenerationseek for a sign? Truly I say to you, 2nosign will be given to thisgeneration."

Leaving them, He againembarked and wentaway to the otherside.

And they had forgotten to takebread, and did not havemorethanoneloaf in the boat with them.

And He was givingorders to them, saying, "3Watch out! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of 4Herod."

They began to discuss with oneanother the fact that they hadnobread.

And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, "Why do you discuss the fact that you havenobread? 5Do you not yetseeorunderstand? Do you have a hardenedheart?

"6HAVINGEYES, DO YOU NOT SEE? AND HAVINGEARS, DO YOU NOT HEAR? And do you not remember,

when I broke7the fiveloaves for the fivethousand, howmany8basketsfull of brokenpieces you picked up?" They said to Him, "Twelve."

"When I broke 9the seven for the fourthousand, howmanylarge10basketsfull of brokenpieces did you pick up?" And they said to Him, "Seven."

And He was saying to them, "11Do you not yetunderstand?"

And they came to 12Bethsaida. And they brought a blindman to Jesus and implored Him to 13touch him.
