211Jesuswentaway from there, and withdrew into the district of 2Tyre and 3Sidon.
And a Canaanitewoman from that regioncame out and began to cry out, saying, "Havemercy on me, Lord, 4Son of David; my daughter is cruelly5demon-possessed."
But He did not answer her a word. And His disciplescame and implored Him, saying, "Send her away, because she keeps shoutingaat us."
But He answered and said, "I was sentonly to 6the lostsheep of the house of Israel."25
But she came and 7began bto bowdownbefore Him, saying, "Lord, help me!"
And He answered and said, "It is not cgood to take the children'sbread and throw it to the dogs."27
But she said, "Yes, Lord; dbut even the dogsfeed on the crumbs which fall from their masters'table."
28ThenJesussaid to her, "Owoman, 8your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you wish." And her daughter was healedeat once .
299Departing from there, Jesuswentalong by 10the Sea of Galilee, and having gone up on the mountain, He was sittingthere.
And flargecrowdscame to Him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and manyothers, and they laid them down at His feet; and 11He healed them.
31So the crowdmarveled as they saw the mutespeaking, the crippledgrestored, and the lamewalking, and the blindseeing; and they 12glorified the God of Israel.
