1"1Do not judgeso that you will not be judged.2"For in the way you judge, you will be judged ; and a2by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.3"Why do you 3look at the speck that is in your brother'seye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye ?4"4Orhowbcan you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye ?5"You hypocrite, firsttake the log out of your own eye, and then you will seeclearly to take the speck out of your brother'seye.6"5Do not givewhat is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearlsbeforeswine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
7"c6Ask, and 7it will be given to you; dseek, and you will find ; eknock, and it will be opened to you.8"For everyone who asksreceives, and he who seeksfinds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.9"Orwhatman is there among you fwho, when his sonasks for a loaf, gwill give him a stone ?10"Orhif he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?11"If you then, beingevil, knowhow to givegoodgifts to your children, 8howmuchmore will your Father who is in heavengive what is good to those who ask Him!12"In everything, 9therefore, itreatpeople the sameway you wantjthem to treat you, for 10this is the Law and the Prophets.
13"11Enterthrough the narrowgate ; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enterthrough it.14"For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
15"Beware of the 12falseprophets, whocome to you in sheep'sclothing, but inwardly are 13ravenouswolves.16"You will k14know them by their fruits. lGrapes are not gathered from thorn bushes norfigs from thistles, are they?17"So15everygoodtreebearsgoodfruit, but the badtreebearsbadfruit.18"A goodtreecannotproducebadfruit, nor can a badtreeproducegoodfruit.19"16Everytree that does not beargoodfruit is cutdown and thrown into the fire.20"Sothen, you will mknow them 17by their fruits.21"18Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.22"19Many will say to Me on 20that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your namecast out demons, and in Your nameperformmanynmiracles ?'23"And then I will declare to them, 'I neverknew you; 21DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICELAWLESSNESS.'
24"Therefore22everyonewhohearsthesewords of Mine and oacts on them, pmay be compared to a wisemanwhobuilt his house on the rock.25"And the rainfell, and the qfloodscame, and the windsblew and slammedagainst that house ; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.26"Everyone who hearsthesewords of Mine and does not ract on them, will be like a foolishmanwhobuilt his house on the sand.27"The rainfell, and the sfloodscame, and the windsblew and slammedagainst that house ; and it fell -and great was its fall."28t23WhenJesus had finishedthesewords, 24the crowds were amazed at His teaching ;
