When aJesus camedown from the mountain, blargecrowdsfollowed Him.

And 1a lepercame to Him and c2boweddown before Him, and said, "Lord, if You are willing, You canmake me clean."
3
Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, "I amwilling ; be cleansed." And immediately his 3leprosy was cleansed.
4
And Jesussaid to him, "4See that you tellnoone ; but 5go, 6showyourself to the priest and present the doffering that Mosescommanded, as a testimony to them."5
And 7when eJesus enteredCapernaum, a centurioncame to Him, imploring Him,

and saying, "fLord, my gservant is hlying8paralyzed at home, fearfullytormented."

Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."8
But the centurionsaid, "iLord, I am not worthy for You to comeunder my roof, but justjsay the word, and my kservant will be healed.
9
"For I alsoam a manunder9authority, with soldiersunder me; and I say to thisone, 'Go !' and he goes, and to another, 'Come !' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Dothis !' and he does it."
10Now when Jesusheard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, "Truly I say to you, I have not foundsuchgreatfaithlwith anyone in Israel.11"I say to you that many10will come from east and west, and mrecline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven ;12but 11the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into 12the outerdarkness ; in that place13there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."13
And Jesussaid to the centurion, "Go ; nit shall be done for you 14as you have believed." And the oservant was healed that very pmoment.
1415When Jesuscame into Peter'sqhome, He saw his mother-in-lawlyingsick in bed with a fever.

He touched her hand, and the feverleft her; and she got up and rwaited on Him.
16
When eveningcame, they brought to Him many16who were demon-possessed ; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and 17healedall who were ill .

This was to fulfillwhat was spokenthroughIsaiah the prophet : "18HE HIMSELFTOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND sCARRIEDAWAY OUR DISEASES."
18Now when Jesussaw a crowdaround Him, 19He gaveorders to depart to the otherside of the sea.
1920Then a scribecame and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go."
20Jesussaid to him, "The foxeshaveholes and the birds of the tair have unests, but 21the Son of Manhasnowhere to lay His head."21Another of the disciplessaid to Him, "Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father."

But Jesussaid to him, "22Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their owndead."2323When He got into the boat, His disciplesfollowed Him.

And behold, there aroseva greatstorm on the sea, so that the boat was beingcovered with the waves ; but Jesus Himself was asleep.
25
And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, "24Save us, Lord ; we are perishing !"
26
He said to them, "Why are you wafraid, 25you men of littlefaith ?"Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and xit becameperfectlycalm.
27
The men were amazed, and said, "Whatkind of a man is this, that even the winds and the seaobey Him?"
2826When He came to the otherside into the country of the Gadarenes, two men who were 27demon-possessedmet Him as they were coming out of the tombs. They were so extremelyviolent that noonecouldpass by that way.

And they cried out, saying, "y28What business do we have with each other, Son of God ? Have You comehere to torment us beforezthe time ?"
30Now there was a herd of manyswinefeeding at a distance from them.
31
The demons began to entreat Him, saying, "If You are going to cast us out, send us into the herd of swine."
32
And He said to them, "Go !" And they came out and went into the swine, and the wholeherdrusheddown the steepbank into the sea and perished in the waters.
33
The herdsmenranaway, and went to the city and reportedeverything, aaincludingwhathadhappened to the 29demoniacs.
34
And behold, the wholecitycame out to meetJesus ; and when they saw Him, 30they implored Him to leave their region.
