'As an offering of first fruits you shall bring them to the LORD , but they shall not ascend for a soothing aroma on the altar.
'Whatever divides a hoof, thus making split hoofs, and chews the cud, among the animals, that you may eat.
'Nevertheless, you are not to eat of these, among those which chew the cud, or among those which divide the hoof: the camel, for though it chews cud, it does not divide the hoof, it is unclean to you.
'Likewise, the shaphan, for though it chews cud, it does not divide the hoof, it is unclean to you;
the rabbit also, for though it chews cud, it does not divide the hoof, it is unclean to you;
'Concerning all the animals which divide the hoof but do not make a split hoof, or which do not chew cud, they are unclean to you: whoever touches them becomes unclean.
'For I am the LORD who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God; thus you shall be holy, for I am holy.' "
"The priest shall offer up the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. Thus the priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be clean.
"Then Aaron shall offer the goat on which the lot for the LORD fell, and make it a sin offering.
"But the goat on which the lot for the scapegoat fell shall be presented alive before the LORD , to make atonement upon it, to send it into the wilderness as the scapegoat.
"Then you shall say to them, 'Any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,
'You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.
"Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you clear oil from beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually.
