'Or if a person touches any unclean thing, whether a carcass of an unclean beast or the carcass of unclean cattle or a carcass of unclean swarming things, though it is hidden from him and he is unclean, then he will be guilty.
"Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'These are the creatures which you may eat from all the animals that are on the earth.
'Also whatever walks on its paws, among all the creatures that walk on all fours, are unclean to you; whoever touches their carcasses becomes unclean until evening,
to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the edible creature and the creature which is not to be eaten.
"So when any man from the sons of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, in hunting catches a beast or a bird which may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth.
'So you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, by which a man may live if he does them; I am the LORD .
'Even your cattle and the animals that are in your land shall have all its crops to eat.
'Now in case a countryman of yours becomes poor and his means with regard to you falter, then you are to sustain him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you.
'Do not take usurious interest from him, but revere your God, that your countryman may live with you.
'I shall also grant peace in the land, so that you may lie down with no one making you tremble. I shall also eliminate harmful beasts from the land, and no sword will pass through your land.
'I will let loose among you the beasts of the field, which will bereave you of your children and destroy your cattle and reduce your number so that your roads lie deserted.
