12Sothen, my beloved, 1just as you have alwaysobeyed, not as in my presenceonly, but nowmuchmore in my absence, work out your 2salvation with 3fear and trembling ;
for it is 4God who is at work in you, both to will and to work5for His goodpleasure.
15so that you will aprove yourselves to be 7blameless and innocent, 8children of Godabovereproach in the midst of a 9crooked and perversegeneration, amongwhom you b10appear as clights in the world,
16holdingdfast the word of life, so that in 11the day of Christ I will have reason to glorybecause I did not 12run in vainnor13toil in vain.
But evenif I am being 14poured out as a drinkoffering upon 15the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
You too, I urge you, rejoice in the sameway and share your joy with me.
