Therefore 1his calamity will come suddenly ; 2Instantly he will be broken and there will be 3no healing.

There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination ato Him:
17
4Haughty eyes, a 5lying tongue, And hands that 6shed innocent blood,
18
A heart that devises 7wicked plans, 8Feet that run rapidly to evil,
19
A 9false witness who utters lies, And one who b10spreads strife among brothers.
20
11My son, observe the commandment of your father And do not forsake the cteaching of your mother ;
21
12Bind them continually on your heart ; Tie them around your neck.
22
When you 13walk about, dthey will guide you; When you sleep, ethey will watch over you; And when you awake, fthey will talk to you.
23
For 14the commandment is a lamp and the gteaching is light ; And reproofs for discipline are the way of life
24
To 15keep you from the evil woman, From the smooth tongue of the hadulteress.
25
16Do not desire her beauty in your heart, Nor let her capture you with her 17eyelids.
