Psalms 47

God the King of the Earth.

O 1clap your hands, all peoples; 2Shout to God with the voice of joy.
For the LORD Most High is to be 3feared, A 4great King over all the earth.
He 5subdues peoples under us And nations under our feet.
He chooses our 6inheritance for us, The 7glory of Jacob whom He loves. Selah.
God has 8ascended with a shout, The LORD, with the 9sound of a trumpet.
10Sing praises to God, sing praises; Sing praises to 11our King, sing praises.
For God is the 12King of all the earth; Sing praises 13with a skillful psalm.
God 14reigns over the nations, God sits on 15His holy throne.
The 16princes of the people have assembled themselves as the 17people of the God of Abraham, For the 18shields of the earth belong to God; He is 19highly exalted.
