Prayer for Deliverance from Secret Enemies.

1 Hear my voice, O God, in ¹my ^acomplaint ; ²Preserve my life from dread of the enemy. 2 Hide me from the ³secret counsel of evildoers, From the tumult of ⁴those who do iniquity, 3 Who ⁵have sharpened their tongue like a sword. They ⁶aimed bitter speech as their arrow, 4 To ⁷shoot ^bfrom concealment at the blameless ; Suddenly they shoot at him, and ⁸do not fear. 5 They ^chold fast to themselves an evil purpose ; They ^dtalk of ⁹laying snares secretly ; They say, "¹⁰Who can see them?" 6 They ^edevise injustices, saying, "We are ^fready with a well-conceived plot "; For the ^g¹¹inward thought and the heart of a man are ^hdeep. 7 But ¹²God ⁱwill shoot at them with an arrow ; Suddenly ^jthey will be wounded. 8 So ^kthey ^lwill ¹³make him stumble ; ¹⁴Their own tongue is against them; All who see them will ¹⁵shake the head. 9 Then all men ^mwill ¹⁶fear, And they ⁿwill ¹⁷declare the work of God, And ^owill consider ^pwhat He has done. 10 The righteous man will be ¹⁸glad in the LORD and will ¹⁹take refuge in Him; And all the upright in heart will glory.
