49Remember the word to Your servant, aIn which You have made me hope.
50This is my 1comfort in my affliction, That Your word has brevived me.
The arrogant2utterlyderide me, Yet I do not 3turnaside from Your law.

53Burning5indignation has seized me because of the wicked, Who 6forsake Your law.
Your statutes are my songs In the house of my 7pilgrimage.

It is 34good for me that I was afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.

Your word is a 85lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
I have 86sworn and I will confirm it, That I will keep Your righteousordinances.
