I 1sought the LORD, and He answered me, And 2delivered me from all my fears.
They 3looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will 4never be ashamed.
6Thisapoormancried, and 5the LORDheard him And saved him out of all his troubles.
The 6angel of the LORDencampsaround those who fear Him, And rescues them.
O 7taste and see that the LORD is good; How 8blessed is the man who takesrefuge in Him!
O fear the LORD, you 9His saints; For to those who fear Him there is 10nowant.
The younglions do lack and sufferhunger; But they who seek the LORD shall 11not be in want of anygoodthing.
1112Come, you children, listen to me; 13I will teach you 14the fear of the LORD.
1215Who is the man who desireslife And loves length of days that he may 16seegood?
13Keep17your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking18deceit.
1419Depart from evil and dogood; Seekpeace and 20pursue it.
The 21eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous And His ears are open to their cry.
The 22face of the LORD is against evildoers, To 23cutoff the memory of them from the earth.
The righteous 24cry, and the LORDhears And delivers them out of all their troubles.
The LORD25is near to the 26brokenhearted And saves those who are b27crushed in spirit.
