1 Give the king 1Your judgments, O God, And 2Your righteousness to the king's son. 2 aMay bhe 3judge Your people with righteousness And c4Your afflicted with justice. 3 dLet the mountains bring e5peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. 4 fMay he 6vindicate the gafflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy And crush the oppressor. 5 hLet them fear You 7while the sun endures, And ias long as the moon, throughout all generations. 6 jMay he come down 8like rain upon the mown grass, Like 9showers that water the earth. 7 In his days kmay the 10righteous flourish, And 11abundance of peace till the moon is no more. 8 May he also rule 12from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth. 9 lLet 13the nomads of the desert 14bow before him, And his enemies 15lick the dust. 10 mLet the kings of 16Tarshish and of the n17islands bring presents ; The kings of 18Sheba and 19Seba 20offer ogifts. 11 pAnd let all 21kings bow down before him, All 22nations serve him. 12 For he will 23deliver the needy when he cries for help, The qafflicted also, and him who has no helper. 13 He will have 24compassion on the poor and needy, And the rlives of the needy he will save. 14 He will s25rescue their tlife from oppression and violence, And their blood will be 26precious in his sight ; 15 So may he live, and may the 27gold of Sheba be given to him; And let uthem pray for him continually ; Let vthem bless him all day long. 16 May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains ; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of 28Lebanon ; And may those from the city flourish like 29vegetation of the earth. 17 May his 30name endure forever ; May his name wincrease x31as long as the sun shines; And let men 32bless themselves by him; 33Let all nations call him blessed. 18 34Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who alone 35works wonders. 19 And blessed be His 36glorious name forever ; And may the whole 37earth be filled with His glory. 38Amen, and Amen. 20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.New American Standard Bible Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation, La Habra, California.
