1
I sawanother1strongangel2comingdown out of heaven, clothed with a cloud ; and the 3rainbow was upon his head, and 4his face was like the sun, and his 5feetlikepillars of fire ;
2
and he had in his hand a 6littlebook which was open. He placed7his rightfoot on the sea and his left on the land ;
3
and he cried out with a loudvoice, 8as when a lionroars ; and when he had cried out, the 9sevenpeals of thunderauttered their voices.
4When the sevenpeals of thunder had spoken, 10I was about to write ; and I 11heard a voice from heavensaying, "12Seal up the things which the sevenpeals of thunder have spoken and do not write them."
5Then the angelwhom I sawstanding on the sea and on the land13lifted up his righthand to heaven,
614and swore by 15Him who livesforever and ever, 16WHOCREATEDHEAVEN AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE EARTH AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE SEA AND THE THINGS IN IT, that 17there will be delaynolonger,
7
but in the days of the voice of the 18seventhangel, when he is about to sound, then19the mystery of God is finished, as He bpreached to His servants the prophets.
8Then20the voicewhich I heard from heaven, I heard againspeaking with me, and saying, "Go, take21the cbook which is open in the hand of the angel who 22stands on the sea and on the land."
9So I went to the angel, telling him to give me the littlebook. And he said to me, "23Take it and eat it; it will make your stomachbitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey."
10
I took the littlebook out of the angel'shand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey ; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was madebitter.
11
And 24they said to me, "You must25prophesyagainconcerning26manypeoples and nations and tongues and 27kings."
