and he cried out with a loudvoice, 1as when a lionroars; and when he had cried out, the 2sevenpeals of thunderauttered their voices.
4When the sevenpeals of thunder had spoken, 3I was about to write; and I 4heard a voice from heavensaying, "5Seal up the things which the sevenpeals of thunder have spoken and do not write them."
5Then the angelwhom I sawstanding on the sea and on the land6lifted up his righthand to heaven,
67and swore by 8Him who livesforever and ever, 9WHOCREATEDHEAVEN AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE EARTH AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE SEA AND THE THINGS IN IT, that 10there will be delaynolonger,
but in the days of the voice of the 11seventhangel, when he is about to sound, then12the mystery of God is finished, as He bpreached to His servants the prophets.
8Then13the voicewhich I heard from heaven, I heard againspeaking with me, and saying, "Go, take14the cbook which is open in the hand of the angel who 15stands on the sea and on the land."
9So I went to the angel, telling him to give me the littlebook. And he said to me, "16Take it and eat it; it will make your stomachbitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey."
I took the littlebook out of the angel'shand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was madebitter.
And 17they said to me, "You must18prophesyagainconcerning19manypeoples and nations and tongues and 20kings."
