The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal.

10The foundationstones of the citywall were adorned with everykind of preciousstone. The firstfoundationstone was 11jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, 12emerald;

the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, 13sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.

And the twelve14gates were twelve15pearls; eachone of the gates was a singlepearl. And the street of the city was 16puregold, liketransparent17glass.

I saw18notemple in it, for the 19LordGod the Almighty and the 20Lamb are its temple.

And the city21hasnoneed of the sunor of the moon to shine on it, for 22the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the 23Lamb.

24The nations will walk by its light, and the 25kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.
