Romans 10:8-17 (New American Standard)

But what does it say ? "1THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart "-that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9
athat 2if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and 3believe in your heart that 4God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved ;
10
for with the heart a person believes, bresulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, cresulting in salvation.

For the Scripture says, "5WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE dDISAPPOINTED."

For 6there is no distinction between Jew and Greek ; for the same Lord is 7Lord of 8all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
13
for "9WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed ? How will they believe in Him 10whom they have not heard ? And how will they hear without 11a preacher ?

How will they preach unless they are sent ? Just as it is written, "12HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO e13BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS !"

However, they 14did not all heed the fgood news ; for Isaiah says, "15LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT ?"

So faith comes from 16hearing, and hearing by 17the word gof Christ.
