Romans 9:6-8 (New American Standard)

6 But it is not as though 1the word of God has failed. 2For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel ; 7 nor are they all children 3because they are Abraham's adescendants, but: "b4THROUGH ISAAC YOUR cDESCENDANTS WILL BE NAMED." 8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are 5children of God, but the 6children of the promise are regarded as ddescendants.
