For this, "5YOU SHALL NOT COMMITADULTERY, YOU SHALL NOT MURDER, YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, YOU SHALL NOT COVET," and if there is anyothercommandment, it is summed up in thissaying, "6YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."
10Lovebdoesnowrong to a neighbor; therefore7love is the fulfillment of the law.
Do this, knowing the time, that it is 8already the hour for you to 9awaken from sleep; for nowcsalvation is nearer to us thanwhen we believed.
1210The night is almostgone, and 11the day is near. Therefore let us layaside12the deeds of darkness and put on 13the armor of light.
Let us d14behaveproperly as in the day, 15not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexualpromiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy.
