to all who are 1beloved of God in Rome, called as a2saints: 3Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the LordJesusChrist.
8First, 4I thank my GodthroughJesusChristbfor you all, because5your faith is being proclaimedthroughout the wholeworld.
For 6God, whom I 7serve in my spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son, is my witness as to howunceasingly8I makemention of you,
10always in my prayersmakingrequest, ifperhapsnow at last by 9the will of God I may succeed in coming to you.
For 10I long to see you so that I may impartsomespiritualgift to you, that you may be cestablished;
that is, that I may be encouragedtogether with you while among you, each of us by the other'sfaith, bothyours and mine.
1311I do not want you to be unaware, 12brethren, that often I 13have planned to come to you (and have been preventedsofar ) so that I may obtainsome14fruitamong you also, even as among the rest of the Gentiles.
1415I amdunderobligationboth to Greeks and to 16barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.
15So, for my part, I am eager to 17preach the gospel to you alsowho are in Rome.
For I am not 18ashamed of the gospel, for 19it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the 20Jewfirst and also to 21the Greek.
For in it 22the righteousness of God is revealedefrom faith to faith; as it is written, "f23BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."
