Do you not 1know that when you presentyourselves to someone as 2slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of 3sinaresulting in death, or of obediencebresulting in righteousness?
But 4thanks be to God that cthough you were slaves of sin, you becameobedient from the heart to that 5form of teaching to which you were committed,
and having been 6freed from sin, you becameslaves of righteousness.
197I am speaking in humantermsbecause of the weakness of your flesh. For just8as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, dresulting in further lawlessness, sonowpresent your members as slaves to righteousness, eresulting in sanctification.
For 9when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
21Thereforewhatf10benefit were you thengderivinghfrom the things of which you are nowashamed? For the outcome of thosethings is 11death.
But now having been 12freed from sin and 13enslaved to God, you iderive your j14benefit, kresulting in sanctification, and 15the outcome, eternallife.
For the wages of 16sin is death, but the freegift of God is 17eternallife in ChristJesus our Lord.
