For I consider that the sufferings of this present time 1are not worthy to be compared with the 2glory that is to be revealed to us.
19
For the 3anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for 4the revealing of the 5sons of God.
20
For the creation 6was subjected to 7futility, not willingly, but 8because of Him who subjected it, ain hope
21
that 9the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22
For we know that the whole creation 10groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.
23
11And not only this, but also we ourselves, having 12the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves 13groan within ourselves, 14waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, 15the redemption of our body.
24
For 16in hope we have been saved, but 17hope that is seen is not hope ; for who hopes for what he already sees ?
25
But 18if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Our Victory in Christ
26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness ; for 19we do not know how to pray as we should, but 20the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words ; 27 and 21He who searches the hearts knows what 22the mind of the Spirit is, because He 23intercedes for the bsaints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that cGod causes 24all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are 25called according to His purpose. 29 For those whom He 26foreknew, He also 27predestined to become 28conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the 29firstborn among many brethren ; 30 and these whom He 30predestined, He also 31called ; and these whom He called, He also 32justified ; and these whom He justified, He also 33glorified. 31 34What then shall we say to these things ? 35If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who 36did not spare His own Son, but 37delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things ? 33 Who will bring a charge against 38God's elect ? 39God is the one who justifies ; 34 who is the one who 40condemns ? Christ Jesus is He who 41died, yes, rather who was d42raised, who is 43at the right hand of God, who also 44intercedes for us. 35 Who will separate us from 45the love of eChrist ? Will 46tribulation, or distress, or 47persecution, or 48famine, or 49nakedness, or 50peril, or sword ? 36 Just as it is written, "51FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED." 37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly 52conquer through 53Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither 54death, nor life, nor 55angels, nor principalities, nor 56things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from 57the love of God, which is 58in Christ Jesus our Lord.New American Standard Bible Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation, La Habra, California.
