3Olderwomenlikewise are to be reverent in their behavior, 1not maliciousgossipsnor2enslaved to muchwine, teachingwhat is good,
4so that they may aencourage the youngwomen to love their husbands, to love their children,
to be sensible, pure, 3workers at home, kind, being 4subject to their ownhusbands, 5so that the word of God will not be dishonored.
6Likewiseurge6the youngmen to be bsensible;
in allthingsshowyourself to be 7an example of gooddeeds, with cpurity in doctrine, dignified,
8sound in speechwhich is beyondreproach, so8that the opponent will be put to shame, havingnothingbad to sayabout us.
Urge 9bondslaves to be subject to their ownmasters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not dargumentative,
not pilfering, but showingallgoodfaithso that they will adorn the doctrine of 10God our Savior in everyrespect.
