So I said, "Where are you going?" And he said to me, "To 1measureJerusalem, to seehowwide it is and howlong it is."

And behold, the 2angel who was speaking with me was going out, and anotherangel was coming out to meet him,

and said to him, "Run, speak to that 3youngman, saying, '4Jerusalem will be inhabited5withoutwallsbecause of the 6multitude of men and cattlewithin it.

'For I,' declares the LORD, 'will be a 7wall of firearound her, and I will be the 8glory in her midst.' "

"Hothere! 9Flee from the land of the north," declares the LORD, "for I have 10dispersed you as the fourwinds of the heavens," declares the LORD.

"Ho, Zion! 11Escape, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon."

For thussays the LORD of hosts, "After12glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the 13apple of His eye.

"For behold, I will 14wave My handover them so that they will be 15plunder for their slaves. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me.

"16Sing for joy and be glad, O daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will 17dwell in your midst," declares the LORD.

"18Manynations will join themselves to the LORD in that day and will become My people. Then I will 19dwell in your midst, and you will 20know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you.

"The LORD will 21possessJudah as His portion in the holyland, and will again22chooseJerusalem.
