1Woe to her who is 1rebellious and 2defiled, The 3tyrannicalcity !

She 4heedednovoice, She 5acceptednoinstruction. She did not 6trust in the LORD, She did not 7drawnear to her God.

Her 8princeswithin her are roaringlions, Her judges are 9wolves at evening ; They leavenothing for the morning.

Her prophets are 10reckless, treacherousmen ; Her 11priests have profaned the sanctuary. They have doneviolence to the law.

The LORD is 12righteous13within her; He will 14donoinjustice. 15Everymorning He brings His justice to light ; He does not fail. But the unjust16knowsnoshame.

"I have cutoffnations ; Their cornertowers are in ruins. I have made their streets17desolate, With noonepassing by; Their 18cities are laidwaste, Without a man, 19without an inhabitant.

"I said, 'Surely you will revere Me, 20Acceptinstruction.' So her dwelling will 21not be cutoff According to all that I have appointedconcerning her. But they were eager to 22corruptall their deeds.
8"Therefore23wait for Me," declares the LORD, "For the day when I rise up as a witness. Indeed, My decision is to 24gathernations, To assemblekingdoms, To pour out on them My indignation, All My burninganger ; For 25all the earth will be devoured By the fire of My zeal.

"For then I will agive to the peoples26purifiedlips, That all of them may 27call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him bshoulder to shoulder.

"From beyond the rivers of 28Ethiopia My cworshipers, dMy dispersed ones, Will 29bring My offerings.

"In that day you will 30feelnoshameBecause of all your deeds By which you have rebelled against Me; For then I will remove from your midst Your 31proud, exultingones, And you will neveragain be haughty On My 32holymountain.

"But I will leaveamong you A 33humble and lowlypeople, And they will 34takerefuge in the name of the LORD.

"The 35remnant of Israel will 36donowrong And 37tellnolies, Nor will a deceitfultongue Be found in their mouths ; For they will 38feed and liedown With noone to make them tremble."
14Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion ! 39Shout in triumph, O Israel ! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem !

The LORD has takenaway40His judgments against you, He has clearedaway your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is 41in your midst ; You will 42feardisasternomore.
1643In that day it will be said to Jerusalem : "44Do not be afraid, O Zion ; 45Do not let your handsfalllimp.

"The LORD your God is 46in your midst, A e47victoriouswarrior. He will 48exultover you with joy, He will fbe quiet in His love, He will rejoiceover you with shouts of joy.

"I will gather those who 49grieveabout the appointedfeasts - They gcame from you, O Zion; The reproach of exile is a burden on hthem.
19"Behold, I am going to deal at that time With all your 50oppressors, I will save the 51lame And gather the outcast, And I will turn their 52shame into 53praise and renown In all the earth.

"At that time I will 54bring you in, Even at the time when I gather you together; Indeed, I will give you 55renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I 56restore your fortunes before your eyes," Says the LORD.
