And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in
the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
] Not in the canonical book of Chronicles; though there are some things of him recorded there, which are not here; but in the annals of each reign, written by the king's historian appointed for that purpose.

19 They made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish. But they sent after him to Lachish, and killed him there.
20 They brought him on horses; he was buried in Jerusalem with his ancestors in the city of David.
