1 Reformas religiosas de Ezequías
Cuando terminó el festival, los israelitas que estuvieron presentes fueron a todas las ciudades de Judá, Benjamín, Efraín y Manasés, destrozaron todas las columnas sagradas, derribaron los postes dedicados a la diosa Asera y quitaron los altares y los santuarios paganos. 2 Chronicles 31:1

Now when all this was finished
The temple cleansed, the priests and Levites sanctified, the passover and feast of unleavened bread observed, and other seven days of rejoicing kept:

all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake
the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high
places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin;
which had been erected by Ahaz, ( 2 Chronicles 28:2 2 Chronicles 28:25 ) at or about this time also the brasen serpent was broke to pieces, ( 2 Kings 18:4 ) ,

in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them
all;
which must be understood of such cities in those tribes that had been taken in former times by the kings of Judah from the kings of Israel; or such as were now in the hands of the Assyrians, who might not concern themselves in matters of religion; or this might be done at the connivance of Hoshea king of Israel, who had no regard to any other idolatry than the worship of the calves; and besides, having met with trouble from the Assyrians, and fearing more, might be willing to have his kingdom cleared of idolatry, in hope the divine displeasure would be removed:

then all the children of Israel returned every man to his possession
into their own cities;
and not till then, when all monuments of idolatry were removed.

2 Luego Ezequías organizó a los sacerdotes y a los levitas en divisiones para que presentaran las ofrendas quemadas y las ofrendas de paz y para que adoraran, dieran gracias y alabaran al Señor
en las puertas del templo.

3 El rey también contribuyó personalmente con animales para las ofrendas quemadas diarias de la mañana y de la tarde, para los festivales semanales de los días de descanso y para los festivales mensuales de luna nueva, como también para todos los demás festivales anuales establecidos en la ley del Señor
.

4 Además, exigió al pueblo de Jerusalén que llevara una parte de sus bienes a los sacerdotes y levitas, para que ellos pudieran dedicarse por completo a la ley del Señor
.

5 Cuando los israelitas escucharon estos requisitos respondieron con generosidad; dieron la primera porción de su grano, vino nuevo, aceite de oliva, miel y de todo lo que producían sus campos. Llevaron grandes cantidades, el diezmo de todo lo que habían producido.
