Sha'ul, Sila, and Timothy, To the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah: Grace to you and shalom from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. 1 Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you.
We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers, 2 We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers.
remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, before our God and Father. 3 We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen, 4 For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you,
and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Ruach HaKodesh, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we shown ourselves to be among you for your sake. 5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.
You became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Ruach HaKodesh, 6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.
so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia. 7 And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
For from you has sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth; so that we need not to say anything. 8 The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia--your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it,
For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you; and how you turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God, 9 for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead -- Yeshua, who delivers us from the wrath to come. 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
